The standard PYRAN® design consists of a monolithic
borosilicate glass, refined by thermal tempering and
manufactured in a Microfloat facility, the only one
of its kind in the world. PYRAN® fulfils the requirements of fire resistance category E, thus providing a barrier against fire,
hot gases and smoke.
|
- stays clear at all times
- fire rating: E 30 - E 120
- thickness range: 5 to 12 mm
- max. dimensions: 1,800 mm x 3,600 mm (thickness >/= 8mm)
- safety glass
- may be combined with functional glazing
- material base: borosilicate
|
|
PYRAN® white is used as partially tempered glass, as for example in
skylights with fire resistance category E 30.
|
|
PYRAN® G curved fire resistant glazing provides both
safety and an aesthetic flair, for example at the Fraunhofer
Haus in Munich.
|
|
Based on various coatings such as an anti-reflection coating on
PYRAN® S-AR, both visual and safety requirements can be met.
The glazing is frequently used for projection openings in cinemas.
|
|
In conjunction with other
functional glass, ISO-PYRAN® meets additional
security requirements to
guard against the risk of
falling; to provide thermal
insulation, such as in the
Westdeutschen Immobilienbank
in Mainz.
|
|
The PYRAN® S butt joint glazing at the BMW car dealership
in Paris features glass panels together without
obtrusive mullions to spoil the view into the depth of
the showroom.
|
|
Point-fixed systems with PYRAN® S-P guarantee
aesthetic fire-protection solutions for an underground
station in Munich.
