MICROCROWN up-drawn soda-lime glass has one of the lowest iron contents known in the market today.
It has high luminous transmittance and an excellent colorless appearance. MICROCROWN is available as sheet glass in a thickness of 1.0 mm.
Its unique composition makes MICROCROWN the right choice for microscopic slides where low auto-fluorescence and excellent chemical resistance are required.
MICROCROWN microscopy glass is available as:
MICROCROWN is marked by high transmission in the total UV-A spectrum. This is a decisive factor for using MICROCROWN in fluorescence microscopy.
The refractive index of ne = 1.5251 ± 0.001 is finely adapted to our cover glass for microscopy, D 263® M. As a result, unwanted reflections are eliminated and high-definition images become possible.
The excellent chemical properties of MICROCROWN enable prepared slides to be stored and analyzed for longer periods of time (cf. DIN-ISO 719 - class HGB 3).
