Contrast Enhancement Filters

Product Information
Greater clarity & true rendering of color
Contrast enhancement filters allow only certain wavelengths of light from a display device to pass through and they filter out irrelevant wavelengths. Thus allowing displays to achieve a higher level of contrast. Furthermore, full color displays are capable of reproducing colors more naturally. The monochromatic contrast enhancement filters enable green light transmission while suppressing other wavelengths. They also provide optimum view-ability of monochrome displays. The full-color coated glass filters permit transmission in the red, blue, and green wavelengths while reducing transmission at other intermediate wavelengths. Each of our glasses is developed, melted and finished to exacting customer specifications at our state-of-the-art facility in Pennsylvania.
Advantages
- Displays can achieve a higher level of contrast and full color displays can achieve more natural color reproduction through selective wavelengths transmission

Quality Assurance
We inspect all contrast enhancement filters to ensure exacting quality. The maximum size of permitted inclusions (bubbles, seeds, stones, etc.) is 0.4 mm. We measure inclusions as the average of the maximum length and width. The sum of the diameters of all inclusions may not exceed twice the diameter of the maximum allowable size per filter.
Our contrast enhancement filters are inspected for scratches using stringent military specification MIL-O-13830 and the 60 - 40 scratch & dig criteria. No striae may be visible to the unaided eye; all filters meet or exceed the striae grade A requirements of MIL-G-174B.
Maximum strain may not exceed 80nm/cm, measured as strain-induced birefringence. Each of these glasses has been developed to accept standard conductive and anti-reflective coatings to optimize transmission and reduce glare.
