Typical Applications
Prisms with large optical path lengths are used in high-power digital projection systems. A fraction of the light is absorbed that heats up the optical components and subsequently causes image degradation.

“HT” & “HTultra” glasses, with their superior transmittance values, are particularly well-suited for digital projection, and they serve as the perfect material for optical components used in this field, prisms, for instance. They reduce the absorption and improve the image quality of the system.

SCHOTT’s extensive expertise in gluing, cementing and sub-assembling allows for easier integration of prisms into custom-designed hardware.
